The all new EE action camera

EE have launched a 4GEE Action Cam, so now you don’t need to wait until you get home to share your latest adventure. Stream the action as it happens over 4G from the camera straight to skeegle, the video sharing app where you can invite all your friends and family to watch at the same time. The 4GEE Action Cam comes with a Viewfinder Watch, which helps you set up your shot and control the camera from your wrist. So take friends and family along for the ride. Or swim. Or jump.

We helped to develop the creative behind the launch of the new camera, working very closely with the EE Brand Team. The creative was then applied to everything 4GEE Action Cam related, from Press right through to the Packaging. We hope you like it.

It’s a big deal

It’s a big deal

We have been working with EE and a variety of external agencies to help bring together one of the best ever free data deals to hit the UK. EE are giving away 100GB of free data for two months in collaboration with Ali-A and Dan and Phil in an unprecedented offer. We were on board from the outset and tasked with creating the packs that would deliver the SIMs to anyone lucky enough to bag one of these great deals.

There was a real buzz about the project and the fans took to social media to express their excitement about getting hold of their SIM packs… There was even a competition for the most creative use of their free Dan and Phil sticker.

It’s a funny old world

We were commissioned by Orange to produce a set of illustrations to help staff to communicate a ‘global’ message. They are based around a global theme, corporate & social responsibility and technology. To be used internally for any communications where the user needs to talk about Orange’s global activities in a simple and fun way, which supports Orange’s core brand values.

They Did It vs Ashdown Workshop

They Did It vs Ashdown Workshop

They Did It have joined forces with the very creative people at The Ashdown Workshop Company to create a very special project. The Ashdown Workshop Notebook Cover is a premium leather notebook cover 100% handmade with no use of any machines.

They hand cut the veg-tan leather with a half moon leather knife and then hand-stitched with Northern Ireland linen thread, which is hand-waxed prior to stitching to add extra durability and life to the thread. Over time the leather will age beautifully and uniquely with use, darkening in colour to produce a rich patina.

Digital living

Digital living

The Orange Digital team were moving to a new building, it was all very last minute and we were tasked to fit it out. We had 14 days to create and install their new environmental graphics. We designed bespoke areas and wallscapes to create unique spaces and reinvigorate existing ones. Everyone pulled together and we managed to transform an office space into a friendly warm Orange environment in record time.

We tried to create a better workspace aimed at inspiration and imagination. There were some fun touches with the grass in the garden area where we later added garden furniture as a break out space.

There were also some nice touches in the main meeting space with the main wall painted white white board paint, allowing the whole area to be a brainstorming space, which we then framed with graphics to finish it off. The workmen sharing lunch on the girder in the kitchen diner area was also a nice touch, playing with the space above the breakfast bar.

Again, the tried and tested concept that a little core branding effectively used in the right place can bring a space to life very quickly.

Bench press

We were recently approached by Bench to help with some creative input into their Autumn/Winter store POS. The project is still under wraps so we can’t say too much at the moment… What we can say is that we’re excited to be involved in a project celebrating the heritage of the company. Coming to a store near you soon!

Getting down to Business

Getting down to Business

The ongoing branding of the Orange UK office space took us to Slough recently where the Orange Business Services office was in need of some updating. The brief as before was to bring the space to life and deliver some surprise & delight to the employees.

Hidden mice running along the girder add the surprise and delight element of the project.

We assembled the team and headed to Slough for an after hours fit. Phil was sharp as ever and got started on the vinyl application, while Gemma was on mouse patrol adding some bespoke delicate touches that help to add the humor to such an install.

The office soon took shape as everyone began to get back into the swing of things and the now established toolkit started to take shape. Some bespoke artworks really helped to pull the branding together across the two floors, with special notice board vinyls and ad hoc birds to add to the collection.

Bespoke notice board vinyls were created with a range of birds to add into the mix.

Again the challenge was to make the best use of the spaces we had to play with. This meant experimenting with some of the existing elements in the toolkit and making them work for us. Wherever we are given the opportunity to be playful we try to use this as best to our advantage.

The 'This Way, That Way' signpost worked well in this corridor. Adding some humor to an otherwise fairly nondescript hallway.

A seat on the board

A seat on the board

There is nothing better than a well thought out, ingenious approach to up cycling which the guys at Deckstool have achieved in style. They take the usually discarded broken decks and trucks from skateboards and turn them into beautiful stools and benches. They also help local skate parks across North America to generate additional revenue by paying them for discards, so putting something back into their community.

The bespoke furniture pieces are an eclectic mix of parts from various boards, often with startling results. The blend of different graphics and the often scarred, personalised faces of the boards add to the charm and individuality of each piece. They are truly a thing of beauty from a once broken and battered object to be skillfully re-imagined and re-purposed.
